Responsibility

Responsibility, when should children have it and at what age is the question? I pose this question because there are a lot of children who are being the parent and not the child. Children are now taking the role of mother and father in many houses. They have to take care of their younger siblings, do there homework, cook and clean the house. Which gives them no time to be children. With all their new tasks it is not surprising that most children are getting bad grades or even dropping out of school. The new age of children are crying for help with no one to listen. Some may ask were are the parents? Well they are out working two jobs trying to make the ends met, in jail, on drugs, or on welfare and don't know how to educate their selves or their children. How can society ask for these children to became productive adults. When they are face with so most on their plate. If the government would stop raising the price of gas, food and taxes maybe their parents would not have to work so much to make ends met. And there would be less children being left home alone to raise their younger siblings. Less children dropping out and becoming parents themselves or in jail because there was no one home to raise them. For me the proper age is about 16 teen or older that is when you are more closer to being a adult. And the child hood life is being left behind. You should be able to take on more tasks at home and school because life is about change but even then it should come in moderation. For my reader tell what do you think post your comments I would like you opinion on the subject.
